Mission Statement

The mission of The Columbus Youth Police Activities League, Incorporated  (a.k.a PAAL) is to be solely a charitable and educational organization in order to develop, provide, and coordinate quality sports programs and activities that contribute to the development of character, integrity, physical and mental fitness, citizenship, sportsmanship and the personal well-being of the participants.  To accomplish this mission, PAAL shall encourage participation, regardless of abilities and economic standing, through a friendly and cooperative relationship among the youthful participants, family, coaches, officials, mentors, law enforcement officers and 1st responders.

Vision and Objectives

  1.  To guide our youth in making responsible decisions in life by providing positive role models with attitudes and behaviors that can be emulated.
  2. To foster better communication, understanding, and mutual respect between our youth, the community, law enforcement officers and 1st responders.
  3. To promote benevolence, friendship, responsibility, self-confidence, as well as good will and tolerance among the youth of our community through positive guidance provided by instructors, coaches, officials, mentors, law enforcement officers and 1st responders.
  4. To cultivate and improve the moral and civic standards in our youth by creating an interest among citizens and businesses to serve our youth toward that end.
  5. To provide training, clinics, instruction, education, and participation opportunities for our youth and coaches, to maintain appropriate levels of instruction and participation, all in appropriate facilities for everyone involved to be successful.
  6. To provide scholarship opportunities for those unable to afford participation, to give every youth, regardless of economic standing, an opportunity to benefit from the sports programs and activities.
